What are the safety duties under the Ontario Diving Regulations that you follow?
As certified commercial divers, we adhere to the strict guidelines put forth by the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Ontario. Under the OHSA, commercial divers have the duty to understand the act’s operational and contingency plan as it pertains to commercial diving, be aware of hazards that could be encountered at a dive site, not be fatigued or impaired and are to report to their supervisor if they are unfit to dive.
Do you have a minimum charge?
Yes. We charge an 8-hour minimum for our dive crew.
What should I look out for when hiring a commercial diver?
When hiring a commercial diver, you should have the contractor submit proof of diver training from an accredited dive school, proof of first aid and CPR training, proof of insurance and other necessary documentation to ensure the utmost commitment to safety.
